LONG NOTES GROW

Long notes are usually half notes, dotted halves, or whole notes, but depending on the tempo and meter of the song, could also be quarter notes. Essentially, any note that is sustained for a significant time should GROW. Grow how?

GROW louder
GROW softer
GROW in resonance
GROW taller
GROW in interest
GROW!

If a long note isn’t growing, it’s static, and thus boring, and thus is not musically pleasing. What can you do to GROW your long notes?
